The road to Hilton

The journey towards two Hilton hotels has begun! The Mainport Hotel Rotterdam and the Maashotel Rotterdam Centre are currently undergoing a rebranding and renovations. With confidence, we believe that both hotels will proudly display the Hilton brand logos by the end of this year.

Just a little longer until the Maashotel Rotterdam Centre will be a Doubletree by Hilton franchise and Mainport hotel Rotterdam will be a Curio Collection by Hilton franchise. In the following video, Marcel Bosman, General Manager of both hotels, and Boudewijn Stumpel, Director of Asset Management Hospitality at Orange Investment Managers, discuss the exciting developments occurring since the hotels were acquired.

On behalf of Annexum, Orange Investment Managers acts as Real Estate Manager, Operations Manager, and Project Manager of the Mainport Hotel Rotterdam and the Maashotel Rotterdam Centre and oversees the entire project to turn both hotels into the Hilton franchises.

The choice of Hilton was made for several reasons, but the main reason is brand recognition. Hilton has an incredibly strong brand identity and a global reach that will help attract more guests. And let's not forget about Hilton's distribution power. That will certainly give the boost we expect.

The hotels were acquired "unbranded," giving us the opportunity to create value and implement the rebranding strategy we believe is needed. But choosing Hilton also comes with additional responsibilities. We have been given additional requirements to meet Hilton's franchise conditions.

Together with the brands, we developed a Product Improvement Plan. In it, we determine what their needs are to meet their standards. This ranges from the look and feel to systems and security. It's a significant task, but it will elevate the hotels to the level we need it to be.
